My Gym has created
an extraordinary program and facility devised to help children three months to nine years of age develop physically, cognitively
and emotionally. Imaginations soar and children triumph at My Gym Children's Fitness Center.
Our structured,
age-appropriate weekly classes incorporate music, dance, relays, games, special rides, gymnastics, sports and other original
activities. My Gym kids have so much fun as they gain strength, balance, coordination, fine and gross motor proficiency, agility,
flexibility and social skills. The most important benefit we offer, however, is the building of confidence and self-esteem.
My Gym's state-of-the-art facility has custom-designed equipment, the configuration of which is changed each
week to provide a new and exciting experience for the children. Our extensively trained staff, award-winning class programs
and excellent student/teacher ratio have earned My Gym the reputation as the best early learning program of its kind.
HISTORY My Gym's innovative program and facility were created in 1983 as a collaborative
effort by its founders, William Caplin, who opened his first My Gym in Santa Monica, California and Yakov and Susi Sherman,
who opened for business in Van Nuys, California. Both partners experienced such great success with their initial My Gyms that
they decided to proceed on a course of expansion. The Shermans created two additional facilities, one in Woodland Hills, California
and the other in Thousand Oaks, California. Bill Caplin undertook his own expansion program, opening his second My Gym in
Beverly Hills, California and then another in Newport Beach, California. Each location flourished!
In 1990, Cory
Bertisch and Monique Broulard purchased the Van Nuys My Gym and further developed and refined the original programming and
philosophy. Their enrollment grew quickly, making their My Gym a huge success.
Realizing the extraordinary value
of the My Gym concept, not only to youngsters but to operators as well, these two young people knew that by spreading My Gyms
across the country they could significantly enrich the lives of many. They, together with Jamie Bertisch, Randy Bertish, Arnold
Embuido, Gene Barr and the My Gym founders, developed a formula for success to be franchised throughout the United States.
Edwin Chavez and Mike Chalovich soon joined this group of talented people to complete this experienced and highly successful
management team. MISSION My
Gym Children's Fitness Center is dedicated to improving the lives of children and families throughout the world. Our mission
is to create facilities, programs and services that empower youngsters by helping them to acquire the skills and self-confidence
needed to become healthy young adults.
